Congratulations to Judge Danielle Harris on her recent appointment to Pinal County Superior Court
In 2023, Governor Katie Hobbs announced the appointment of Danielle Harris to the Pinal County Superior Court. Judge Harris was born and raised in Illinois and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honorary Distinction in Sociology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May of 2000. She moved to Arizona in 2000 to attend Arizona State University College of Law where she served as a law clerk focusing on education law and working on 501 (c)(3) grants.
Judge Harris earned her J.D. in May 2003 and her bar license in May 2004. In 2005, she began serving as a Deputy County Attorney for the Maricopa County Attorneys’ Office practicing criminal law and focusing on serious sex-related felony and computer forensic cases.
She became an Administrative Law Judge with the Arizona Department of Transportation in 2012 and began serving as a Judge Pro Tempore for Maricopa County Superior Court in 2013 and then Pinal County Superior Court starting in 2014. In 2015 she was appointed as a Court Commissioner with Tempe Municipal Court and, while serving in that role, began teaching for the Judicial College of Arizona. She accepted an appointment by Presiding Judge Stephen McCarville to serve as a Superior Court Commissioner in 2021.
