Chloe R. Woods

Chloé R. Woods is a licensed attorney, air force veteran, and training facilitator with experience providing legal counsel to government and private organizations, representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as administrative proceedings.

Her practice consists of 7 years of government service at the city, state, and federal levels, as well as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force. She has truly charted her own path and not followed a traditional trajectory of what one’s career in the legal profession can be. In 2016, Chloé launched a litigation consulting firm that ghostwrites responsive pleadings and appeals for other practitioners; freeing them up to handle marketing and law practice management. With D,E, & I efforts near and dear to her heart, Chloé runs the National Bar Association Advancement Academy for Excellence, a diversity pipeline program for new lawyers. Also, the Delegation Agreement Coordinator for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), Chloé oversees the administration of the State's groundwater programs as delegated to the fifteen counties of Arizona.

Previously, Ms. Woods was a contract attorney with the law firm of Lawrence & Bundy, LLC, specializing in employment litigation, internal investigations, and municipal law, and formerly an associate in the Phoenix Office of Gordon & Rees. Prior to joining these firms, Ms. Woods maintained a diverse practice, representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as administrative proceedings, holding roles with the United States Postal Service, Assistant Attorney General at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Executive Director & General Counsel of the Virgin Islands Bar Association, Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force, Assistant City Counselor for the City of St. Louis, and Corporate Counsel at Peabody Energy Corporation.

Ms. Woods received her Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Masters in Policy from Arizona State University, and Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University in the City of New York, where she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Incorporated. Recognized within the profession, Ms. Woods is a 2020 graduate of the State Bar of Arizona Bar Leadership Institute, a leadership development program that recognizes promising young lawyers. Ms. Woods was selected by the National Bar Association for the 40 Under 40: Nation’s Best Advocates Award, the Arizona Black Bar "Rising Star" Award; the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division “On The Rise” Award, Greater Phoenix Urban League Young Professionals "YP Rising" Award; Missouri Lawyers Association “Leader of Tomorrow" Award; and as a Fellow of the American Bar Association, an honor only bestowed on 1% of the lawyers in any jurisdiction.

Chloé resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her fiancé, Avery and their daughter, Aspen.
